EAB V65c - Stunning 1950s 6:1 Tube Mixer, Plug & Play

I'm downscaling the gear collection at my Felt Instruments studio. Here's an incredibly rare EAB V65c tube mixer in 6:1 mono configuration. EAB was one of the legendary companies building top quality gear in the golden age of the tube era, and this unit is a prime example of that. Built like a tank, and sounding absolutely stunning, with a vivid, sparkling tube sound. Quite possibly the best top end you can find in tube gear.

It can be used as a mixer, or a characterful preamp. All channels are equipped with a low-cut filter operating at either 40 or 100 Hz, and a switchable 20db pad.

The unit sounds absolutely stunning, giving you that larger-than-life, exciting tube sound you always dreamt of. Perfect on vocals and instruments. I wouldn't use it for bass, personally, because the filters can't be bypassed, but it brings beautiful sparkle, saturation and clarity to everything you put into it. Absolutely world class.

You can think of this as six V76 or V72, and summing in one box. Maybe it’s possible to mod it for direct outs if that’s your thing, but I haven’t explored this. The mixer sounds incredible in the current mono configuration.

It's been extensively serviced in Germany when I got it, and recently checked by the Sonic World team in Germany. The unit is in great working condition. The internal PSU has been modified for standard power connector socket. A set of XLR to Tuchel cables for the inputs will be included in the sale, as well as the banana to XLR cable for the output.

As with all mixers, the faders might exhibit a bit of a crackle when exposed to dust. It's easy to clean them, and it's a part of a regular maintenance.

You won't find a better set.
