Dunlop is launching a limited edition of typical Hendrix effect pedals in 2017. The Jimi Hendrix Octavio Fuzz Limited Edition is part of it. This unique fuzz sound with the buzzing, high octave above the root is heard for the first time in Purple Haze's guitar solo, and then belonged to the standard equipment of the exceptional guitarist. With an Octave Fuzz the additional, high octave is generated by a ring modulator circuit, the effect is actually monophonic - but two string sounds and chords also produce crass sound effects. The Octavio is packaged in a pedalboard-friendly MXR style case and, unlike the original, has a true bypass and a standard 9 Volt Barrel power supply.
