Garcia Grade No. 1 Classical Guitar - MIJ
Manufactured November 1970
Garcia's highest Grade guitar with solid Spanish pine top and gorgeous Rosewood sides and back in exceptional condition.
Multi-ply binding around top, back, sides and lower end.
Inlaid wood marquetry at sound hole, bridge, and head stock.
Nearly free of any signs of use: A very small dent on the lower bout is pictured to the right of the penny in the photo. There are a few even tinier marks possibly from pick taps near the sound hole.
The neck is tight to the body. There are a couple tiny openings under the bridge seen in the photo. No effect on performance and nothings changed in the 17 years Ive had this.
Action is about 3.5 mm, bass side at the twelfth fret, 3.0 mm at the treble side. All notes play cleanly up and down the fret board.
Comes with original hard shell case with a little lifting of some of the covering at he edges.
All in all - exceptionally fine condition for nearly 50 years old.
Antigua Casa Sherry-Brenner LTD of Madrid is said to have bought the Spanish design and rights to the name Garcia in the 1960s and hired Japanese makers to bring their excellence in manufacturing to producing this classic design in various Grades.

"The World Renowned Garcia, Grade No. 1"
