Super rare Marimba Lumina 2.5. Designed by Don Buchla (RIP) and sold under the name "Nearfield Media".
Bars respond to a specific frequency in each assigned mallet. You can assign each mallet to a different voice or function, in addition to traditional uni-timbral play. Assignability is endless. Marimba Lumina does come with an internal synth engine or it can be used as an extremely powerful MIDI controller. An instrument lightyears ahead if it's time.
Comes with a brand new set of mallets custom built by Joel Davel who was the "Associates" of Buchla & Associates. Also comes with a bound manual, data card, and original power supply. I also have the original Nearfield box but I don't trust shipping in that alone so I will double box the Marimba Lumina.
