Launched in 1958 alongside the Explorer, both models were a commercial failure at first… It wasn’t until 1967 that Gibson revived the Flying V (and even 1976 for the Explorer!). Here is a Hendrix signature model, featuring the iconic psychedelic look of his guitar, seen many times on stage. Beneath this striking appearance lies equally impressive substance: a pair of Gibson Custombucker pickups, usually found on Custom Shop models. The body and neck are made of mahogany, with a laurel fingerboard, and true to its 60s inspiration, it is equipped with a Vibrola tremolo.
