The new Novation Circuit Rhythm is here. The highly anticipated groovebox arrives as a new addition to their line of grooveboxes with new features to make your beatmaking process smoother and get your creativity flowing.
The Circuit Rhythm comes as part of Novation’s new, growing line of grooveboxes and grid-based instruments, which features the original Circuit and the newer Circuit Tracks, which was released earlier this year.
The new groovebox shares many features with Circuit Tracks, with one standout new feature: Circuit Rhythm allows producers to record samples directly into the machine. On Circuit Tracks, sample-based producers have to edit audio on a computer and load their samples onto the Tracks' microSD card. On Circuit Rhythm, you can play audio directly into the machine, then slice and sculpt it into the perfect sample.
Beyond the studio, the Circuit Rhythm makes for a great live companion, with effects like lo-fi tape, stutter, beat repeat effects, and more. However, the Circuit Rhythm does not feature the internal drums or polysynths that the Circuit Tracks has, which may limit your ability to create a song entirely on the machine.
The Circuit Rhythm's features, according to Novation, include:
- 32 RGB Backlit Velocity Sensitive Pads
- 28 RGB Backlit Tactile Click Buttons
- USB-C Socket, Kensington MiniSaver Slot, 3x MIDI DIN (In, Out, Thru)
- MicroSD card slot
- 3.5mm Sync Out, Stereo Audio In (Mono Summed), Unbalanced Stereo Out, Headphones out
- Volume Knob, Master Filter Knob with centre detent
- Weight: 1.72 lbs
- Dimensions: 1.77” x 9.45” x 8.27” (H x W x D)
The Circuit Rhythm is now available for $399 USD.
