Mutable Instruments Announces New Marbles Module

Amid the Eurorack explosion of the past half decade, Mutable Instruments has emerged as one of the key innovators in the field, releasing a steady stream of singular Eurorack modules, and doing so in an always transparent and open source way. This week, the modular maker announced the latest addition to their suite of modules with the Marbles.

Described as a "random sampler" designed for "controlled chaos" and "repeatable randomness," the Marbles offers multiple random gate and voltage channels with a set of confines to impose some sense of order. There's also a Deja Vu knob that "controls the probability of reusing past material instead of sampling fresh random data."

Earlier this month, Mutable also announced a successor to the popular Braids module in the form of the forthcoming Plaits.

You can get a sample of the Marbles in action in the video above, and learn more about its design on the Mutable website. Click here to pre-order your Marbles module on Reverb today, for an estimated ship date of April 13.
