Casio Brings Beginner-Friendly Casiotone Keyboards Back to Life | SNAMM 2019

Remember finding that keyboard from the ‘80s with all the fun buttons? Well, they’re coming back with all the programmed sounds and rhythms that soundtracked your childhood.

Retaining the spirit of novice-friendly layouts and pricing, Casio announced the CT-S200, CT-S300, and LK-S250 models at this year’s Summer NAMM. Each model has the same ready-to-go sounds (400 in the CT series and 122 in the LK) that made the originals such popular entryways into the world of synthesis.

But the new models benefit from modern features like USB connectivity, slimline keys for reduced weight, and a much-needed rechargeable battery so you don’t have to go scrambling in the drawer for some spare AAs.

Sticker price will be $109 for the CT-S200, $139 for the CT-S300, and $159 for the LK-S250. Check back soon for availability on Reverb. Don't want to wait? You can browse all of the vintage and used Casiotones currently listed here.
