This is one of Gavin Rossdale's earliest guitars and he used it to compose many of the early Bush songs on that appeared on the multi platinum selling Bush album Sixteen Stone. It was used in the early stages of the band, on the London gig circuit and at rehearsals. Gavin customised it with the word 'Sucker' painted on the side with cool colouring. He also added some black paint to the headstock front, the tuners and the edges around the neck pocket. The headstock decal was sanded of. It is a Fender Statocaster made in Japan in the '80's. It features two humbuckers a volume and tone control. It is a rare Fender Japan Stratocaster in itself and of great build quality. It does not come with the tremolo arm. It comes with a Fender hardcase A small section of the case edge has broken off. The guitar has been professionally set up, and the neck is very smooth and comfortable to play. The guitar is in very good over all condition and has a nice patina and road worn vibe. The guitar sounds excellent and has that classic Bush sound to it.

The guitar comes with a certificate of authenticity housed in a book signed by the Bush guitar tech Adrian Vines. Gavin Rossdale also signed the back plate and wrote a funny message on it: 'Hey Brian this is my guitar, give it back - Gavin Rossdale x It comes with an envelope that was addressed to his management company in Los Angles. This might be the only time one of Gavin Rossdale's guitars have come up for sale. He even recently said in an interview that his guitars will be investment pieces for his children when he is no longer around.

It is a highly collectible piece from one of rock biggest bands of the 1990's and enduring rock musician whose career has gone from strength to strength over the decades and released their latest album 'I Beat Loneliness' in 2025.
