There is already a Fuzz Phrase from JAM Pedals for a solid two hundred euros, but this limited edition is on a whole different level. This fuzz pedal uses germanium transistors, which are now completely used up. But not just any germanium transistors.

The CV7003 OC44s in this pedal are military-grade and do not lose their quality or grit when the temperature starts rising after prolonged use. Just like in a live situation, on stage. Not that this particular unit has had the chance to showcase its talents in such an environment. It has never been outside and has actually been used very little. Despite its unique characteristics, it didn’t manage to convert me to the fuzz clan—but to be clear, that’s no fault of this handmade (point-to-point) pedal itself. It just needs an owner who can put it to better use. Given its value and technical merits, this pedal is for the discerning player.

JAM Pedals designed this pedal with vintage fuzz in mind—hello, sixties! Playing around with the guitar’s volume to find the sweet spots: from clean to gritty to roaring like a combine harvester! But well, anyone interested in this already knows what it’s all about. As well as the fact that this pedal is no longer in production and is only available second-hand.
