C.F. Martin & Co., established in 1833, is one of the oldest and most respected guitar manufacturers in the world. The company is renowned for its dedication to quality and innovation, shaping the development of the modern acoustic guitar. The D21 model, part of Martin's Dreadnought series, has a history of delivering robust sound and versatility, making it a popular choice among guitarists.

The Madagascar Rosewood used for the back and sides of this D21 provides a rich, resonant tone with a balanced response. The Adirondack Spruce top adds clarity and dynamic range, enhancing the guitar's overall sound. This combination of woods is favored for its ability to produce a powerful yet nuanced tone. An ideal guitar for someone interested in flatpicking or seriously loud strumming!

The D21 is quite a unique guitar in the Martin line-up, and one you don't see any day. Factually, it's a D18 with rosewood back & sides. Or if you turn it around, it's a D28 with the simple yet iconic styling of a D18. As someone who enjoys the understated working-man's vibe of the D18, I really like the D21. It's even more of an underdog than the D18 is, and especially this custom model is hiding way more under its hood than meets the eye.

Owning a Martin Custom Shop means having a piece of Martin's storied history, known for its quality materials and expert construction. This 2007 model is an example of Martin's commitment to building guitars that meet the high standards expected by musicians worldwide.
