This Maton Model 1958 MS500 50th Anniversary is part of the private collection of Billie Joe Armstrong.

These guitars are made in Australia and are pretty rare in the states. They sound absolutely incredible and have to be seen and heard to be believed. George Harrison famously played one in the early 60s and quite a few modern guitar players use them today. This guitar has both a single coil and a humbucker pickup with a three way selector switch that allows you to toggle between the two and a blend of both, making it extremely versatile. You can get great Fender strat style clean tones and warm Les Paul crunch, as well as something uniquely in between.

This 2009 Maton Model 1958 MS500 is a super unusual and rare item in Billie’s shop.

Single chip in the top of the guitar. This was the only condition issue we were able to find. This, of course, does not effect the guitars sound or performance. Neck is straight and true and electronics test clean. This guitar sounds great
