Benedetto Fratello Archtop 2002

Born in The Bronx, New York, Robert Benedetto built his first archtop in 1968. In his more than 50-year career, he built more than 1000 guitars, including over 500 archtops. He considers these guitars to be his great love, and is also seen as one of the most prominent builders in this field.

This Fratello is an archtop of exceptional quality, and features a beautiful Opulent Brown color. The guitar is constructed from beautiful Master Grade woods; the body consists of beautiful flamed maple, while the top is made of European spruce. The neck pickup ensures that the sound qualities of the guitar also come into their own amplified.

This 2002 Benedetto Fratello was built under the watchful eye of Robert Benedetto at Fender's Custom Shop in Corona, California. The guitar shows light playwear, with some weatherchecking in the lacquer, some small dings and finally a touchup of the lacquer above the humbucker. Overall, however, the guitar is very clean and comes in a TKL hardshell case.
