The rare and beautiful Hohner HS35. The guitar was built between 1994 -2007 in South Korea. Hohner does not include the build year info in the serial number so it is difficult to give the exact age of the instrument. However, it is in very good condition with minimal signs of use. It sounds great and has a very comfortable neck. The Kent Armstrong PAF humbucker pickups deliver a warm round tone that sounds clear and bright in a clean amp setting and in a distortion setting can rock hard.
Here are the specifications:
Thinline- guitars; Jazz series; classic hollow body with tone block and F-holes; exquisite maple / spruce top, back and sides; arched top and back; ivoroid binding; maple neck with rosewood fingerboard; 2 humbucker designed by Kent Armstrong; vol/vol/tone/tone; 3-way toggle switch; double cutaway; standard bridge with floating tailpiece / tune-o-matic style bridge; chrome hardware; deluxe machine heads; USA strings; 22 nickel silver frets; 630mm scale; colours: tobacco sunburst (gold hw), natural, cherry red, transparent orange
This info comes from the Hohner_Historical database.
My guitar is of course a natural blond :)
Electronics, mechanics and frets are in very good condition.
Here are some youtube videos of the HS35 playing blues, rock and jazz.
It is a well built versatile guitar and at this price a very good value. Gigbag included.
