Fender Champ, 1968, USA. It's the quintessential little valve amp, and it's kinda perfect. The 1967-9 version of the Champ got a silver panel, but was basically the same circuit as the previous Blackface version under the hood; these were known as the 'Drip Edge' Silverface Champ. It's a great sound: heaps of midrange punch, smooth and growly when pushed, fast lows and chiming highs. This will record brilliantly and is loud enough for smaller gigs or rehearsals. Yum.NOTE: this amp runs on 110v USA standard power, so you'll need a step-down transformer to run it in Australia. They're easy to get, but not included with the sale.
