Made for only a brief moment around '79/'80, this ultra cool DMZ 5000 features an aluminum/walnut neck with a walnut/maple body loaded with a pair of DiMarzio J & P bass style pickups for rich, dynamic tones. Professionally set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with some mild play wear - various little nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches.
Neck: Walnut & aluminum neck with aluminum side-dots. Ebonol fingerboard with mother of pearl crown inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Split headstock with Schaller tuners in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid walnut & maple body in natural finish. Top-loading bridge with four adjustable "barrel" saddles & nickel hardware. Bass weighs 9 lbs 3.3 oz.
Electronics: DiMarzio J & P bass style single coils with cream covers. Dual volume & tone controls with black speed knobs. 3-way pickup selector & two 2-way mini frequency toggles. All electronics are in good working condition.
