Depending on the light and viewing angle, the character of the top changes beautifully. The scraped natural binding provides a subtle contrast around the edge of the maple top and gives the guitar an especially refined, premium appearance.Suhr currently lists Trans Blue Denim Slate as one of the available Standard Plus finishes.A modern interpretation of the S-style guitarThe Suhr Standard body is slightly downsized compared with a traditional S-style design and features sharper edge radii and slightly longer horns. The result is a guitar that retains the familiar ergonomics of a traditional double-cut instrument while looking noticeably sleeker and more contemporary. The Basswood body and Flame Maple top combination is perfectly suited to this type of modern, versatile instrument, while the figured top gives the transparent finish its spectacular visual depth.Roasted Maple neck and fingerboardThis version features both a Roasted Maple neck and Roasted Maple fingerboard. The satin finish on the back of the neck gives it a smooth and fast playing feel, while the roasted maple beautifully complements the modern character of the Standard Plus.Combined with Suhr's Heavy Stainless Steel frets, the result is an exceptionally smooth and precise playing surface.V60 single coils + SSH+ humbuckerOne of the biggest strengths of the Standard Plus is its HSS pickup configuration. The two Suhr V60 single coils provide clear, dynamic and expressive tones with plenty of sparkle and definition. They excel at clean sounds, funk, blues, pop and edge-of-breakup tones.Move to the bridge position and the SSH+ humbucker takes the guitar into much more powerful territory. It offers increased output, body and authority, making it ideal for overdriven rhythm sounds, rock and singing high-gain lead tones. This makes the Standard Plus an excellent choice for players who want one premium instrument capable of covering an enormous range of styles.SSCII – true single-coil character with less unwanted humThe Standard Plus is equipped with Suhr's SSCII Silent Single Coil System II.The system is designed to retain traditional single-coil tone while eliminating the familiar 60-cycle hum, and it works completely passively with no battery required.Even C Slim neck & compound radiusSuhr's Even C Slim .800"-.880" neck profile has a relatively slim and fast feel without becoming excessively thin. The 10"-14" compound radius gradually becomes flatter as you move towards the higher frets. This provides comfortable chord work lower on the neck while allowing large bends and fast lead playing further up the fingerboard. The Heavy Stainless Steel frets add to the exceptionally smooth playing feel and offer outstanding resistance to fret wear.Built for professional useSuhr proprietary locking tuners provide excellent tuning stability and make string changes quick and easy, while the 2-Post Tremolo with steel block offers smooth, expressive operation with the stability expected from a modern professional instrument. The result is a guitar that feels equally at home in the studio, on stage or in the hands of a demanding player looking for one instrument that can do almost everything. The Suhr Standard Plus HSS successfully combines classic versatility with modern playability, premium construction and unmistakably high-end looks. And in Trans Blue Denim Slate over a figured Flame Maple top, this particular version is an absolute showstopper.Condition: Brand NewAvailable from The Guitarshop in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands.Worldwide shipping available.
