About this listing
I am offering a Gibson SG Deluxe Red Fade from 2013, a crafted in Nashville, Tennessee (USA), luxury version of the Gibson SG, featuring a solid mahogany body, beautiful “AA” flamed maple top with striking grain, set mahogany neck with ’60s Thin “C” neck profile and 42.9mm Korian nut, bound Indian rosewood fingerboard with elaborate split diamond mother-of-pearl inlays and 24 medium jumbo frets, three tonally versatile Gibson Classic ’57 humbucker pickups with sophisticated electronics, high-quality TonePros ToM bridge including Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, as well as Grover Rotomatics locking tuners in a brilliant Red Fade Metallic nitrocellulose finish with various mother-of-pearl inlays, in mint condition including black Gibson hardshell case, manufacturer’s paperwork, and professional setup with 10-46 Elixir Optiweb strings.Featuring a richly flamed “AA” grade maple top under a selection of transparent red finishes, this limited-edition 2013 Gibson SG Deluxe brings the undisputed beauty of the Les Paul Burst to the archetypal modern styling of the quintessential hard rock workhorse. But that’s not all: Featuring three of Gibson’s best humbucking pickups—the Classic ’57—plus an additional Bigsby tremolo tailpiece, high-performance hardware from TonePros and Grover, and 24 medium jumbo frets for optimal lead playing, it’s one of the most powerful-sounding, playable, and visually striking SGs ever to grace a stage. The cornerstone of this SG Deluxe’s rich tone is its mahogany body, which, with a total weight of 3.44kg, is exceptionally easy to handle. The set-in mahogany neck ensures seamless tone transmission and excellent sustain, while its slim ’60s Slim “C” profile also provides an outstanding foundation for shredding, allowing even nimble licks in the highest registers to flow effortlessly from your fingers.Plugged into an amp, however, the SG Deluxe really pushes the sound to its absolute limit: The three Classic ’57 humbuckers from Gibson are controlled via a so-called “TogPod”—a combination of a 3-way toggle switch and a blend pot that allows for seamless blending of the middle pickup. Thus, the presence of the third pickup alone yields a wealth of additional sound variations. The guitar naturally excels at all hard-hitting rock sounds, but it’s actually much more versatile tonally and impresses across the board with blues, country, and funk as well.A sound sample of this model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery. In short: a Gibson SG on steroids—absolute Custom Shop quality.Technical Specifications:Origin: Nashville, TN, USAYear of manufacture: 2013Body: Solid mahoganyTop: “AA” flamed mapleNeck: Mahogany, setNeck profile: ’60s Slim “C”Fingerboard: Indian rosewood with split-diamond mother-of-pearl inlays, boundFingerboard radius: 12”Frets: 24, medium jumboNut: 42.9mm, KorianHeadstock: Angled mahogany headstock with elaborate custom mother-of-pearl inlay, boundPickups: 3x Gibson USA ’57 Classic humbuckersElectronics: 3-way switch (incl. toggle pot), 2x volume – 2x tone controlsTuners: Grover Rotomatics LockingBridge: TonePros Tune-O-MaticTailpiece: Bigsby TremoloFinish: Red Fade Metallic, nitrocelluloseScale length: 628.6mmWeight: 3.44kgSerial No.: 104631425Includes black Gibson hardshell case, manufacturer’s paperworkAs a special edition model built exclusively in 2013, the Gibson SG Deluxe has become very rare. This guitar is in mint condition and technically flawless.
