This is a Japanese BOSS analog (except the digital delay, of course) BE-5 guitar multi effects pedal with original box and manual (manual is in Japanese). This thing is pristine!—it still has the plastic film over the front panel (see photo 16, right before the box and manual photos for a detail of the plastic film covering. Also, the white spots above the compressor and overdrive controls that look like damage marks are just tiny bubbles in the film). No obvious signs of wear or use. This is basically 4 late 80s/early 90s classic BOSS effects pedals (with box and manual) in a single pedal! Watch the attached YouTube video for a great explanation of the vintage circuits. It has (in order of its internal signal chain—see final photo from the manual): TUNER OUT, COMPRESSOR (CS-3?), OVERDRIVE/DISTORTION (OS-2?), NOISE SUPPRESSOR, SEND/RETURN LOOP for other effects pedals, DIGITAL DELAY (DD-2/3 but with extras?), CHORUS (CE-2?), DUAL OUTPUTS (one carries the chorus and one carries the dry signal for stereo chorus). I've actually put my whole pedal board in the effects loop and it’s amazing!Runs on a single 9V/150mA power supply, to boot! Reverb describes this effect as "1989-1992" but the only date I can find in the manual says '88 (see penultimate photo). Maybe it came out a year earlier in Japan? I don't know.
