1957 Gibson ES-225T – Sunburst

We present an original 1957 Gibson ES-225T in its original Sunburst finish. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

This Gibson hollow body is all original and 100% complete, except for new cream buttons on the original tuners. It is very common to replace these from that period, as they tend to shrink over time. Otherwise it’s just like it left the Kalamazoo factory.

This 1957 Gibson ES-225T features a single cutaway thin body, one P-90 pickup, and a combination trapeze tailpiece/bridge (as seen on early Gibson Les Paul models). Overall, this guitar is in near mint condition with extremely minor wear — a perfectly clean example. The frets are original and have plenty of life left. It has a fantastic one-piece mahogany neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard and pearl dot inlays. The single P-90 pickup in the middle position feeds into a single volume and tone control, with the output jack located on the side. A stunning hollow body that sounds excellent.

The pickup and all electronics/wiring are untouched and intact, with no broken solder joints and no rewound pickup. All original and correct.
