I am selling a registered Pro Tools Studio licence (‘Perpetual Licence’) on ilok. I no longer need the licence as I have switched to another DAW. The licence has updates until the middle of the year (Ende 07.2026), after which the Pro Tools Studio version released by then can be used perpetual.
Unfortunately, I cannot transfer the licence to the buyer (by name) via Avid, as it is an EDU licence, which does not allow this. Perpetual EDU licences are no longer sold by Avid.
To my knowledge, the EDU licence has no other restrictions in its practical use as a DAW.
The Buyer will receive the ilok with the Pro Tools Studio software and the plugin-package (Avid Complete Plugin-in Bundle).
The Plugin-Package (Avid Complete Plugin-in Bundle) can be used until August 1st, 2026 and expires on that day. I cannot guarantee in any way that the buyer can buy an extension for the plugin-bundle at AVID because this is an EDU license no longer for sale at AVID.
The buyer should therefore assume that updates are not possible and that they can only use the licence as sold here (latest version of the software as of mid-2026).
