FRAMUS tenor banjo, vintage 1964, late Dixi model, type No 6/74; ser. no. 42367- 64K (made in oct 1964). The banjo is completely restored and in very good condition. It has a new REMO head (Renaissance type, size 11 1/8 inches), original tuners and original bridge (1/2 inch height). Slim neck with a new nut, rosewood fingerboard, 19 frets plus zero fret, very low fretwear. One piece nickel plated metal pot with archtop design. Some dark spots on the Ni plating due to the age. Tension hoop with 18 nuts and bolts, original FRAMUS Stratotone tailpiece. Brown wooden resonator in a nice stripe design (see foto). Set up in tenor tuning (CGDA) with new strings (size 32-24-12-09, ball end) and a low string action. It is also very suitable for Irish music, due to its loud and crisp sound.
