Greetings to all from Athens-Greece.
I sell this pair of split-coil P Bass Pickup from Delano.
I bought it end of 2023. It's been on my bass almost 8 months.
I removed it because I don't play Precision bass anymore and I sell the parts of it.
I will primary use my Jazz Bass from now on.
In my opinion it's a high output passive pickup, with great lows and crispy highs.
Maybe slightly scooped mids (?). Very transparent and crystal clear though.
I could say it's towards a hi-fi modern sound but not in a bad way.
Delano is known for their quality pickups.
One other thing to mention... totally silent.
Delano's description from their website:
How to improve a classic pickup design? DELANO takes the classic P-Bass® pickup design a major step forward.
The big poles grab all the strings movements with zero loss. Specially engineered magnets and custom wound coils make up for a bass transducer ready to redefine the word PRECISION.
Just imagine meaty P-Bass® tone with in-your-face Stingray® style grind and attack, and then you got at least the frame of the picture. Due to its tight broad frequency range, this is a GREAT pickup for nu-school funk and rock players, it loves drop tuned basses and massive tone tweaking.
The linked Youtube video is a recent recording with my band with this pickup on-board.
