Ibanez DM-1000 tested and fully functional. In good shape for it's age. Has digits scratched into the faceplate by previous owner. The meaning of this alludes me. See pictures to inspect overall physical condition! One knob has been replaced also. 220/230V EU power plug.
The Ibanez DM-1000 "Digital" Delay is a vintage rack-mountable digital delay unit that was made in the 1980s. It was manufactured by Maxon and is often compared to the DML10, but with more features.
The DM-1000 is known for its BBD (Bucket Brigade Delay) chip grit and analog behaviour. It provides delay times up to 900ms at 8Khz bandwidth. The delay time can be adjusted using a combination of two controls - a 'switching time' selector and a PLUS/MINUS multiple pot to adjust the chosen delay range up or down in time to the required delay in milliseconds.
In addition to its delay capabilities, the DM-1000 also features a built-in chorus effect for added depth and dimension plus "invert mix" option via separate output.
It also has a hold mode for infinite repeats, which can be controlled by a footswitch plugged into the back. Be careful not to overload the input stage. It will get crunchy.
The Ibanez DM-1000 "Digital" Delay remains a sought-after piece of equipment for its unique sound and vintage appeal. It's a testament to the enduring quality and design of Ibanez's audio equipment.
