eight channels in two formats: TDIF on a DB25 and four Toslink ADAT
Lightpipe optical ports. For 88.2/96kHz rates, S/MUX I protocol splits
the eight channels to four on the Lightpipes. S/MUX II at 176.4/192 kHz
leaves two channels on each Toslink connecter for a total of four.
