When it comes to the later years of the 1960s and Fender Stratocasters we guitarists always have one name in mind: Jimi Hendrix. And also with this Fender Stratocaster 68 Journeyman from the Fender Custom Shop you immediately notice the Hendrix genes. Big headstock, 69 U-neck and the legendary Bone-Tone pickups make this Strat a classic Rock machine. Of course the guitar in classic black with maple neck also looks like Jimi's and the subtle Journeyman relicing with numerous hairline cracks and only minor quirks gives it the look of a much-played Stratocaster, but one that was also loved a lot. On the amp the handwound "Bone Tone" pickups come into play and whether clean, distorted or high-gain, they're really fun to savor every note. Woody, throaty, but also pearly and belly sound with enough mids and super balanced. This is exactly how a top Strat must sound, perfect for Blues and Rock! Especially great here are also the intermediate positions, which provide a super bell tone with excellent assertiveness. In addition the sorted alder body, a neck with 7.25''-9.5''-compound radius and the proven 6105-Narrow/Tall frets certainly guarantee the best playability. ...and you want to play this fantastic Strat! We are pleased to offer you this fantastic player guitar in classic guise in mint, virtually unplayed condition.
