Ibanez MC200 with Jerry Garcia "Wolf" mods 1978

This is a beautiful, top quality build from the golden era of Japanese guitar building. It plays beautifully and has a wide array of gorgeous tones. Incredible sustain. The frets were just crowned, and a unbleached camel bone nut installed.

5 piece rock maple/walnut neck thru body contraction. Body is a mahogany core with an ash top and back. 

Tuning machines are non original upgrades. They are high quality Grover machines.

The modifications done were patterned after Jerry Garcia's famous late 78 Wolf guitar and are as follows:

2 Vintage (79) DiMarzio super Distortion pups in bridge and middle positions and DiMarzio Bluesbucker in neck.

3 way mini toggles for each pick up; series and parallel humbucker, and split coil.

A 6 way rotary selector switch with black "chicken head" knob for every conceivable pickup combination.

An on board effects loop (OBEL) with Wald Buffer installed. This sends the signal directly from your pickups through your effects chain and then back up to the guitar, through your volume and tone controls and out to the amp. This insures that your effects always see the same voltage no matter where you set your guitars volume knob. No more muddied tone when lowering your volume!

Alembic stratoblaster (post volume) installed. 

Highest quality pots and capacitors (orange drop) installed. 

Custom made brass pickup mounting plate.

24.75" scale. Brass saddles.

There are chips in the finish here and there, typical of a played but well cared for guitar of this age. The neck is perfect and there are no structural damages to the instrument. 

Comes with a TKL hardshell case.
