About This Listing

Up for sale is a very uncommon 1971 Stratocaster 4-bolt maple neck with a skunk strip. It is not too easy to find just the neck, there are a few complete guitars for sale for top top dollar. This might be the only "neck only" sale available right now. First of all, most necks from this period before the introduction of the 3-bolt neck are predominately rosewood. What makes this a special neck is that it is the transition between 4-bolt and 3-bolt necks, more or less the original 1950's way of doing maple necks. What makes this one even cooler is the "With Synchronized Tremolo" logo. Most of these one piece maple necks have the transition logo. (the regular 1970's Fender Logo) It looses it's Hendrix touch. This exact style was only made for maybe four months during the end of Fender's "golden years".

The neck is worn in just right. It has a relatively fresh re-fret with some medium-jumbo frets. There doesn't appear to be any overspray! The nut width measures just a hair under 1-5/8". I will say this neck feels particularly better than most. If you like more of the 50's feel, this neck is thicker than most from this era and is smooth and chunky.  Real Smooth! The four neck screw holes have had a little filler wood added to better tighten up the neck to body contact.

Please ask any questions!

Hands down a fantastic neck.

I will accept returns up to 48 hours after deliver. Buyer is responsible for shipping.

International buyers!!!! I will ship but do to customs once destroying a neck I shipped to Sweden I will not accept returns, and I will not be responsible for anyone who opens that package at customs and fails to repackage it properly. I pack really well! Thank you.
