Up for sale is a very cool and well played 1989 Gibson Thunderbird in rare white colour and ebony fingerboard combination.
Third year of production of the second reedition model (they were originally produced between 1963 and 1965, then from 1976 to 1979, then from 1986 until now), serial number 82629xxx.
As you can see, this bass was played for all the right reasons. It belonged to a bass player who was part of a pop band who had their little bit of success more than 10 years ago. Fantastic sounding bass, period. Cosmetic wise, it looks like a heavily reliced bass but everything is natural and caused by 30 years of playing. Frets are in good conditions, though.
100% original instrument (no mods of funny "upgrades"), but for the strap buttons that were changed. Note that the front strap button was moved to the top side of the bass.
Comes with Gibson Nikki Sixx Blackbird hard case.
