The 139th AES Convention showroom floor was packed from wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling with the latest technology, software emulations and small modular processors geared primarily towards today's private studios and location recordists. The Eventide booth, however, caught everyone's attention with a stunning collection of their vintage delays, harmonizers, phasers, and flangers in two 6-space racks. Their new Anthology X collection of software plugins very closely models these early digital classics, but to say that it was refreshing to see the genuine articles in the flesh at a trade show is a total understatement. Check out this video with Eventide founder and head inventor Richard Factor showing us their museum-grade collection of these iconic digital processors, which were the gold standard models of their new plugins.
