We recently had the great opportunity to sit down with Smith himself here in Chicago at FRET12 to talk about the experience he's gained over 40 years in the business.
We covered a lot, discussing his deep reverence for guitar building legends like Ted McCarty and Leo Fender (who Smith used to run into at guitar shows) and the magic they were able to make in essentially lighting the fuse that sparked into the electric guitar industry.
