A couple of years ago, Kentucky-based effects brand All-Pedal introduced the Macrodose—a unique envelope filter packed with features. Today, the brand is back with the new Microdose Phaser.
The Microdose shares the same loud and bright design aesthetic as its older sibling and likewise contains a host of features sure to delight the players who pick it up.
It offers two, four, or eight stages of phase-shifting, selectable via a dedicated switch, as well as a waveforms knob offering a selection of 16 distinct modulation shapes. Players can further shape the tone of their waveform with the warp knob, which modifies the form's duty cycle.
There is also a rate control for setting the modulation speed (which can be overridden by the tap tempo footswitch) and a multiplier knob for adjusting the speed multiplier at a range of .5x to 4x. Depth, resonance, blend, and level controls are also on board for further tweaking.
But, of course, that's not all. The Microdose also features four selectable presets for players who would rather spend less time dialing in details. These include classic phaser, rhythmic square, rhythmic pulse, and randomizer.
The All-Pedal Microdose is available now, right here on Reverb. Be sure to check out the video above to hear Andy Martin demo what this pedal can do, and click the button above to get your own.
