Just months after debuting a line of "zero compromise, boutique-level digital guitar amplifiers" called the Silverline Series, the folks at Blackstar Amplification are back for another entirely different unveiling here at NAMM in Anaheim.
New for 2020 will be the Blackstar's Sonnet Series—a line of two brand-new acoustic combo amplifiers, the Sonnet 60 and Sonnet 120. Both advertised as the "ideal grab-and-go acoustic combo," the Sonnet 60 is a 1x6.5 + tweeter combo featuring 60 watts of power and the Sonnet 120 is a 1x8 + tweeter with 120 watts of power.
Both amps at both wattage levels are definitely compact and easy-to-gig choices, but what's really impressive about them is how they sound. Both promise to clearly articulate and amplify your the natural response of your acoustic without any unwanted changes or coloration with the help of its outfitted custom-voiced Natural speaker.
The amps also feature an acoustic-minded high-pass filter and brilliance controls for dialing in the nuances of your tone and performance even more minutely. Both amps have two independent channels—one for your instrument and one for a microphone—that each have their own EQ and reverb level settings.

There are also great extra features, like an MP3 line-in, two studio-quality reverbs (hall and plate), bluetooth capability, and a built-in tilt stand (as well as a PA pole, sold separately).
Both of these amps are available now, so click the blue buttons above to get our your own right here on Reverb. For more news from the NAMM floor in Anaheim, be sure to click the orange banner below to follow along with our coverage.
