About this listing
For sale is a beautiful 1975 Fender Jazz Bass, made in the USA, featuring the classic 3-Tone Sunburst finish. This bass is in remarkably good condition for its age and is a fantastic example of the iconic mid-'70s Jazz Bass. This instrument has genuine vintage character and delivers everything you would expect from a great '70s Jazz Bass. It offers a full, well-defined low end, punchy mids, and that unmistakable Jazz Bass growl that has made these instruments so desirable. From warm, rounded tones to a more aggressive and articulate sound, this bass has all the classic tonal qualities that make vintage Fender Jazz Basses so special. The bass is a pleasure to play, with a comfortable neck, low action, and excellent playability. The truss rod works perfectly, with adjustment available in both directions.Weighing just 3.9 kg (8.6 lbs), this is an unusually lightweight example of a 1975 Jazz Bass. Many Fender basses from this era are considerably heavier, and finding a mid-'70s Jazz Bass at this weight is quite rare. This makes it particularly appealing to players who appreciate a comfortable, lightweight instrument, as well as collectors looking for a special vintage Fender.Despite being over 50 years old, the bass is exceptionally well preserved, showing only minor marks and natural playwear consistent with its age.The serial number is 679983, consistent with Fender production in 1975. The electronics appear to be original, with CTS potentiometer date codes (137-75) corresponding to 1975 production. The beautiful tortoiseshell pickguard complements the Sunburst finish perfectly. The screw holes align correctly with both the body and the original thumb rest position, further suggesting that the pickguard is original to the instrument. The neck stamp is somewhat faded, but appears to contain part of the name "ARMENTA", associated with Fender neck production during the 1970s.Included in the sale are a period-correct original Fender hard case, along with the pickup cover and bridge cover.Overall, this is an exceptionally nice 1975 Fender Jazz Bass, standing out for its excellent condition, unusually low weight, and authentic vintage character. A wonderful instrument that is equally appealing as a player's bass and a collectible piece of Fender history.Worldwide shipping, packed securely and professionally.
