Optical Class A compression

The footswitchable compressor control on the front of the Little Bass Thing gives the player instant access to Orange's carefully designed Class A optical compression circuitry. With its unique sidechain and response optimised for bass guitars, this control offers excellent dynamic control and a warm, classic feel, at subtle or extreme settings. Helpful little extras

The Little Bass Thing not only offers a great sound and low weight, but also a buffered effects loop and a studio-quality balanced DI output with a ground lift switch to avoid problems with ground loops. There's also a -6dB input PAD switch for active basses and hot pickups. With all its dynamic and sound-shaping capabilities, the Little Bass Thing is also great as a recording preamp when used without speakers connected.
