A brief history: Purchased new from David L. Abell Pianos in Hollywood, CA in 1988. Used only in Air Conditioned recording studio rooms for most of "its life". I knew David personally from childhood and would come in to play his synths and pianos in his shop, so when the time came for me to buy a piano, he said pick any Yamaha C7e I have on the floor, he had about 8, and after playing them all, after hours I might add, I found this C7 in the dark back corner and fell in love.

David had already quoted me a price, but when I picked this C7, he said the price was for all of the C7's but not that one...he said that was the one he wanted to keep for himself, but ended up selling to me under the 'sad circumstances of the time'. As I had just lost my father to an auto accident and his auto insurance money paid for the piano, David was like a family uncle, and sold me the C7e that wasn't for sell.

George Duke played and recorded this piano for a client of mine, and told me to "never sell this piano".

Steve Hunt came to my studio to track a synth and piano part for a track and ended up recording his entire album on this piano (and his synths of course). He loved the sound that much, he had already started tracking elsewhere...

It's a very dynamic Yamaha, it has been on countless Jazz, Classical and Pop recordings over the years.
