Okay folks. Special guitar here. Guild BHM1 from 1984. Check out the serial number here. 101. So it is well circulated that it was believed there were a maximum of 316 of these guitars built. This, however, might be the first one of its kind made. Check out this quote from an article on the history of the BHM1 "Ron Thorn, Principle Master Builder at the Fender Custom shop, owner of , and well-known collector of Guild Brian May guitars that he’s never seen one with a serial number below 100 and therefore thinks that there may be only 216 of them". If in fact there is not one with a serial number below 100 then this one, at 101, would likely be the first one ever built.
The pictures are all of the actual Brian May BHM1 you will happily unpack. The guitar is in excellent shape, is perfectly set up, and, apart from some minor pickguard scratching and some nearly invisible buckle rash on the back, is almost aesthetically perfect.
The guitar is completely original with the exception of a replacement screw on the bass side of the nut lock.
The listing includes the original Guild hard shell case, original (not pictured) trem, and chart that gives you the breakdown for every possible pickup and electronics combination.
Ridiculously cool guitar.
As for me I've been lucky enough to carve out a living in the music products industry for my entire adult life and I had the privilege of owning Monster Music in Levittown for 14 years before selling the shop in 2019. Many of my former customers are still with me here online now as Brian's House of Music & Fun! Thanks for keeping the music alive!
