Hallmark Sweptwing instruments are some of the rarest ever made in the USA. These were built by Joe Hall (who worked with Semie Mosely) in 1966. As rare as the guitars are, the basses are even more scarce. Less than 10 were ever made. This example has a newer pickguard and a pickup that was made by Bob Shade, who now owns the Hallmark trademark and makes the new Hallmark guitars. The original pickguard is included. That guard is routed for two pickups and has shrunk and is in poor condition. Aside from the changed guard and pickup the other parts are original. This bass is in excellent playing condition and sounds great. It comes with a non original case.
