Here for sale we have a Taylor 114ce Electro Acoustic Guitar in Satin Natural finish. Made in Mexico in 2017, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising Layered Walnut back & sides, Solid Sitka Spruce top, Torrefied Maple neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A Tusq saddle and nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome Taylor sealed tuning machines. A Taylor Expression System 2 behind-the-saddle piezo pickup is installed and is wired to the shoulder-mounted ES2 controls for master volume, treble and bass. The Maple neck plays very well, with Taylor's neck profile filling the hand nicely for a smooth and responsive paying experience across the register. The profile might be described as a moderately-sized 'C' shape, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and genres. The Ebony of the fingerboard is dark in appearance, and with a nice tight grain adds a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional 16" radius is practical for both melodic and chordal playing styles, whilst the smooth lines of the Grand Auditorium body are comfortable in both standing and seated positions. The acoustic voice of the Taylor 114ce is rich and well balanced, and is well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. The Solid Sitka Spruce top projects very well, and provides a wide, sensitive dynamic range. The Layered Walnut back and sides add some depth and character to the sound, whilst the Grand Auditorium body design strikes a perfect balance between open and airy strummed chords and precision for fingerstyle and melodic lines. The Taylor Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the acoustic voice of the instrument, adding the versatility required for both live and recording situations. A light indentation is present to the rear face towards the top edge, this can be seen under direct light.Neck: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can be seen under direct light and can very lightly be felt in the playing position. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck has been lightly polished to a Gloss texture through regular past use.Body: Overall very good condition. Mild wear markings are present to the treble side of the soundhole which have lightly exposed the wood beneath the finish, this is consistent with regular past use in a high contact area. Light indentations are present around the front face of the body which can be seen under close scrutiny. The most apparent of these can be seen around the treble side near the pickguard and bass side of the soundhole. The Satin finish has been lightly polished to a Gloss texture in high contact areas, this is common with regular past use on Satin finishes.Condition of Frets:The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.Current Set Up:Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (1/4" socket) not included.Hardware: Overall excellent condition.
