About this listing
I’m selling this 1972 Fender Precision Telecaster bass equipped with a Wide Range pickup.Don’t get me wrong—with a little EQ, you’ve got a bass that’s very present across the entire spectrum, very clear and punchy. It’s truly a fantastic, underrated pickup. It looks like a beast, but the J. Torres neck is very comfortable, with a 4 mm nut width. I don’t know the neck profile, but I know you’ll be surprised by how comfortable and responsive it is to play.Healthy Trussrod, straight neck, low action.Very resonant and responsive—the famous ash/maple combo. Very long sustain, and contrary to what you might think when looking at the bridge, the intonation is impeccable. It leaves the luthier’s shop with new strings, a level check, and a complete premium setup. It’s ready to hit the stage for years to come.I really don’t want to use the word “Mojo,” but it’s tempting. The glazed finish is absolutely beautiful. The knobs and jack aren’t original but have been replaced with CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack.4.6 kg. Not the lightest, but far from the heaviest. In short, a vintage Fender that’s a bit off the beaten path, and that feels good. Super playable and functional. The original bridge cover is included in the sale. Aged case, but likely not original.Shipped in bulleproof package
