5 Studio: This is another new option in the line and is super popular as a crossover mouthpiece. Tons of "zip" and front to the attack. A special all-new cup, throat, and backbore produces one of the most efficient commercial pieces I have played without it backing up on you! I designed this mouthpiece to feel more forgiving and way more efficient than other options we have had in this rim diameter previously. I recently used this mouthpiece playing assistant Principal with the St. Louis Symphony for all of their “lead trumpet” needs and it did not disappoint!
About our acrylic line,
I started making and playing on acrylic mouthpiece tops due to my allergies to silver and gold, but they've become incredibly popular with our customers as well! They're super comfy! They feel a little softer than metal tops, and they won't feel as cold on your chops. The acrylic is fairly dense (denser than Delrin) so the sound is pretty close to a similar metal top. We also have a wide variety of colors, so you can get a look that's fairly subtle or one that draws plenty of attention.
This top is on Warburton threads and is compatible with the majority of the modern market. Not just ACB!
