This undoubtably handsome violin is a successful reproduction of the famed luthier Aegidius Klotz.
Klotz was one of the premier violin makers of the 18th and early 19th centuries and founder of the Mittenwald school of violin making. The Jacobus Hornsteiner Company reproduced Klotz models from roughly 1880-1920. These instruments are noted amongst modern-day collectors for their fine craftsmanship and high-quality raw materials.
The violin has been masterfully restored and outfitted with the highest quality fittings. It is offered crack-free and is in solid, excellent condition. The varnish is truly breathtaking.
