Born in the 1960s, the original Balladeer was the central soundhole model that started it all. Today's Balladeer pays tribute to historic design while incorporating the many advancements that have been made along the way. A luxurious soundboard made from hand-selected, AA, solid Sitka spruce is the heart and soul of the Balladeer. The deep contour, cut-out body shape represents the latest evolution of Ovation's groundbreaking Lyrachord® design. It makes the Balladeer a comfortable fit whether you are sitting or standing. Ovation's slightly shorter scale length and narrower nut give the 5-piece, satin, mahogany/maple neck a fast feel. The traditional inlaid oak leaf rosette offers an elegant touch against a high gloss, classic, Ovation Cherry Cherry Burst finish.
