By increasing rigidity and contact between the top and back of the body, the new trestle block design also results in a faster attack with greater focus, snap, and sustain. Paired with the all-new FT-5E Filter’Tron™ pickups, this hollow body’s voice explodes with full, powerful punch, classic tone, and enhanced presence, clarity, and note definition. The all-new maple neck with a Classic "C" profile offers a more comfortable feel for improved playability and performance, and is topped with a 12"-radius laurel fingerboard.Lively and resonant, the G5420T also features a versatile, upgraded control layout—including master volume with treble bleed circuit, master tone, individual pickup volume controls, and a three-way toggle switch—along with bound oversized F-holes, multi-ply body binding, a smaller late-'50s G6120-style bound headstock, vintage-style open-back tuners, a Graph Tech® NuBone® nut, pearloid Neo-Classic™ "thumbnail" inlays, a secured Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, and a Bigsby® B60 vibrato tailpiece.This stunning instrument is available in a striking Airline Silver finish with a black pickguard, or in Azure Metallic, Orange Stain, and Walnut Stain with a silver pickguard.
