A Vintage 1977 Mustang! Wefve just received a used Mustang in the Olympic White color, which was extremely popular at the time. Mustangs from this era feature many minor specification changes, so even models from the same year can differ in subtle details, allowing you to enjoy a variety of unique characteristics. This guitarfs pickguard is a 3-ply design, rather than the 4-ply version typically seen around 1977. The neck date is marked g4874h; the g7h in this number?the last digit of the year of manufacture?indicates that this is a 1977 model. Additionally, period-correct adjustment shims are inserted at the neck joint. The electronics?including the pickups, pots, and switches?are fully original. The pickup serial numbers are 114977 for the front and 105877 for the rear. Furthermore, both the volume and tone pots bear the serial number 1377739, and the presence of a gCircle Dh on the tone capacitor confirms that the guitar remains in its original condition.Although the bridge and control knobs have been replaced, this is a guitar with a high degree of originality overall. Since this instrument is nearly 50 years old, there are signs of paint fading, dents, and general wear throughout. Please note that a large hole for a strap pin remains next to the strap pin on the top of the body; please keep this in mind when considering this instrument.
