It excels at high-gain tones, and you can create a wide range of tones by adjusting the EQ?especially the middle setting.
Turning on gBiteh mode adds a unique bite to your picking nuances.
Turning the Plexi switch ON significantly reduces the amount of distortion, transforming the pedal into one with the unique edge characteristic of Plexi-style amps.
For advanced users, internal trim controls for BALANCE, RESONANCE, and PRESENCE are provided.
These EQ controls offer a more dramatic change than the front-panel Treble, Middle, and Bass knobs, allowing you to dynamically adjust the JACKALfs ultra-low, mid, and high frequencies.

Important Note: Be sure to use a DC 9V center-negative adapter. The JACKAL steps up the voltage to 18V internally for operation.
Please be aware that connecting a 12V DC or 18V DC adapter will cause the unit to malfunction. Voltage levels below 10V, such as 9.6V, can be used without issue.
If you turn the level knob past the 12 ofclock position, you may hear a slight rustling sound when turning the knob; this is a normal feature and not a malfunction.
