Here for sale we have a PRS Custom 24 Electric Guitar in Gray Black finish. Made in the USA in 2001, this set-neck construction guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include PRS locking tuners, a vintage-style 6-point tremolo bridge, and Nickel hardware. The pickups that have been installed are a set of active EMG/81/85 humbuckers and are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.

The Mahogany neck plays superbly well, with the 'Standard' profile offering a smooth, responsive and articulate paying experience in all registers. Certainly, the profile is well suited to lead players as it is slim enough for fast melodic lines and solos. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck assists with navigation of the 25" scale, and the double cutaway body design with signature PRS sculpted lower horn enhances access to the upper frets. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, its 10" radius feeling practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques.

The pair of EMG 81/85 active humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and smooth tones, well suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles. There is plenty of warmth and roundness in the neck position, perfect for solo tones or shimmering clean sounds. The bridge position is brighter and slightly hotter, meaning that you can easily cut through the mix with biting rhythm tones, or achieve a twangy clean sounds for country and blue licks. The simple control layout offers comprehensive control of your sound without being intrusive to the playing experience.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock display scratching which is visible under direct light. This is common with high gloss finishes and can be seen mainly to the front face.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching is present to the rear of the neck as is common with high gloss finishes, these can only be seen under direct light. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.

Body: Overall very good condition. A chip to the finish is present to the bass side edge near the horn, this has chipped away the finish exposing the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching and faint indentations.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent to the early register not affecting playabillity.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light tarnishing and oxidation is present to the bridge, this is common with regular past use in a high contact area. Tremolo arm included.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
