Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Standard Lite Double Cutaway Electric Guitar in Transparent Amber finish. Made in the USA in 2000, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with Plain Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 24 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Gold hardware consisting of a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a Stopbar tailpiece as well as a set of Grover tuning machines. The pickups featured in this guitar are a Gibson 492R humbucker in the neck position whilst a Gibson 57T humbucker is positioned in the bridge, these are wired to a master volume and tone control along with a 3-way selector switch.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand. The ‘Fast C’ profile, with a flattened area to the centre which assists with comfortable fretting and enhances the speed of your playing. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, adding a sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques, as you would expect from a Les Paul. The dual cut Les Paul body style gives extended access to the upper register.

The Gibson pickups in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The 57T humbucker bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The simplified Les Paul wiring offers very manageable control and whilst still providing plenty of versatility without any complicated switching, making this instrument great for tonal sculpting to the players desired taste.

Aesthetic Condition:

Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent scratching and nitro burn around the logo, likely due to the consistent use of a clip on tuner. This causes a bumpy texture to the finish. Some finish delamination is apparent around the lettering of the inlay. All edges demonstrate light indentation, with the most notable to the top edges piercing the finish slightly. All aspects demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. 

Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates infrequent very light indentation throughout the register, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles and difficult to discern beneath the thumb in playing position. The fingerboard demonstrates light indentation between the third and first frets on the bass side edge, this cannot be felt in playing position. 

Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent between the pickups and the treble side waist, consistent with the use of a plectrum. The sides and edges demonstrate consistent moderate indentation, most notably on the treble side lower bout rear edge where consistent indentation chips the finish, revealing the wood beneath. The rear face demonstrates moderate scratching and indentation across the waist and lower bout, piercing the finish on occasion. All aspects of the body display very light nitro checking which is only visible under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light use, with some indication that a recent level and re-crown has taken place to a professional standard. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work. 

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of use, most notably tarnishing of the gold hardware revealing the silver base beneath. The tuning machines when being turned present stiffness, with this the tuning machines are fully functional and work as they should.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Overall very good condition. The case demonstrates scratching, paint transfer and slight ripping of the tolex, this is common with past use.
