The IR-D DUAL TUBE PREAMP (hereafter referred to as "IR-D") is based on the legendary vintage amp sound of the "JTM45, a synonym for the British sound. The new Friedman Amp is a floor-size compact amp with an organic, rich sound and response reminiscent of the "Dirty Shirley" and "Twin Sister" head amps in the Friedman Amp tradition.
This is a dual-tube preamplifier with two independent channels and a separate BOOST function for each channel.
The authentic "Friedman Amp sound" achieved by running the two pre-tubes (12AX7) at high voltage can be connected to the effects return of a guitar amp or to a power amp for output from a guitar cabinet, or to the effects return of a guitar amp or to a power amp for output from a guitar cabinet. In addition, the "IR (Impulse Response)" with 13 different power amp simulations selected by Dave Friedman himself can be connected directly to a PA system in a studio or live venue, or to your DAW environment at home.
