I had a wonderful chat with Andy about this guitar before I purchased it... 

He told me that the "Sands of Time" was a short run of only 6 that he made as a Jumbo Cutaway using some of the nicest pieces of timber he could get his hands on at the time..

There has never been a "production model" made of a Jumbo with a cutaway and this and the TE50 were both very early Custom Shop Guitars with this body shape..

In an article Andy wrote :There is no more I could possibly do to these guitars to get any more sound out of them. I am satisfied I have the formula right!"

Upon receiving this amazing instrument I tuned it up and gave it a strum and I instantly knew what Andy was talking about.

This thing PROJECTS and it has to be the warmest sounding Maton I have ever owned (and I have owned A LOT of Matons!)..

I have owned a couple of guitars made by Andy Allen including a Brazilian Rosewood Traditional and an Indian Rosewood Traditional w/ Cutaway which were both AMAZING guitars... 

This one though... This one is SPECIAL!!!
